Henry Kaiser is "Shipbuilder No. 1"

It was xxxx, and the fortunes of the Allied forces in World War II were at a nadir.  Political leaders in the US and elsewhere sensed a dangerous sag in morale among citizens, and decided to use a familiar tool to help boost morale, patriotism.  The US government decided to publish a series of comic books that would highlight extraordinary contributions by American citizens to the War effort.  One of the first books published was titled "Ship Builder No. 1" highlighting Henry Kaiser's heroic efforts in shipbuilding, steel production, and construction.  These comic books were widely distributed to Americans desperate for some good news.  Two years later, a nation-wide public opinion poll indicated that Henry Kaiser was second only to President Franklin Roosevelt in helping the Allies win the War.  We were very fortunate to acquire an original copy of this important historical document.
